Frequently Asked Questions

Q What is the Multi-Path Learning Opportunities (MPLO) model at PU?
MPLO is PU’s signature academic framework that gives students flexibility to choose, switch, and integrate multiple learning paths—across disciplines, durations, and schools—so they can align their academic journey with evolving interests and career aspirations.

Q What is a LIMP — Linear Integrated Master’s Program?
LIMPs combine undergraduate and postgraduate education within a single domain (like BBA + MBA or BSc MathComp + MSc Data Science). These 5-year pathways offer depth, efficiency, and career focused specialization.

Q What is a CIMP — Cross-Integrated Master’s Program?
CIMPs offer interdisciplinary, cross-school combinations (e.g., BSc Economics + MSc Data Science or BCA + MBA). These are ideal for students who begin with one interest but grow into another, blending business, analytics, computing and policy for broader career possibilities.

Q Why are integrated programs important in today’s context?
India’s job market increasingly values professional master’s degrees, while students at 10+2 level often have diverse or evolving interests. Integrated programs let students explore freely at the UG level and then focus on industry-ready skills at the PG level—all within one cohesive pathway.

Q Can students exit early with a bachelor’s degree if they don’t pursue the full 5 years?
Yes. PU’s programs are aligned with NEP 2020 and offer flexibility to exit after 3 or 4 years with a Bachelor's degree, ensuring no academic year is wasted even if students decide to change path midway.

Q Can I know all the possible academic pathways likely to be available to students at PU from AY 2026?
PU offers three main pathways within the MPLO framework:

  • Bachelor’s Programs (3 years): BBA, BCA, BSc (Quantitative Economics), BSc (Math & Computing) – Admission in Integrated programs only but if student exits after 3 or 4 years, these degree/ qualifying titles may be provided.
  • LIMPs – Linear Integrated Master’s Programs (5 years): e.g., BBA+MBA, BCA+MSc (Data Science), BSc MathComp + MSc Data Science
  • CIMPs – Cross-Integrated Master’s Programs (5 years): e.g., BSc QuantEcon + MSc Data Science, BCA + MBA, BSc MathComp + MBA

These allow students to either pursue standalone bachelor’s degrees or opt into integrated 5-year professional tracks—linear or cross-disciplinary—depending on their interest and strengths.

Q Can I switch my program or change specializations midway?
Yes. The MPLO framework and academic advising support make it possible to transition between streams or shift from a UG-only to an integrated master’s pathway, depending on your performance and interests.

Q. Who can apply for the Programs?
Any student who has successfully completed their 12th in any stream from a recognized board from India or International is eligible to apply. Please refer Admission Process for Integrated Programs.

Q. Are scholarships available?
Yes, merit-based scholarships and other category-specific scholarships may be offered depending on eligibility criteria.

Q. Can I apply before receiving my final certificate results?
Yes. You can apply as a provisional candidate, but final admission is confirmed only after submitting the complete results.

Q. Is there hostel/ accommodation facility?

Q. How can I track my application status?
